Each year we select 2 charities to support by either organising events or by members of Team Oxfordshire and South Mids doing individual activities, i.e. half marathons, etc. to help raise vital funds.
This year we have been supporting:
Yellow Submarine Charity (@ysubcharity) - This is an Oxfordshire charity helping people with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the full.
Their goal is to help teenagers transition into adulthood, to ‘do more’ and ‘need less’.
Team Mikayla (@TeamMikaylaOffical) - This charity is the driving force of an amazing young lady from Wantage, Mikayla Beames (11), who has been fighting brain cancer since the age of 4.
Team Mikayla’s aim is to gift treasure boxes to children fighting cancer and leukemia to make the pain and suffering of fellow children just a little more bearable.
If you would like to contact us regarding any of the above please use either the details on our Contact Us page or if it is area specific please use the contact details on the relevant school page which are located under Our Schools.
An important part of the Matt Fiddes Oxfordshire and South Mids ethos is to provide the community with the opportunity to study Martial Arts and its many benefits, to teach young children how to apply these benefits into their school and home lives and to show schools and parents how Martial Arts can help their child grow into responsible, well-rounded young adults.
Over the years we have worked with many schools. Our Life-skills work closely to help reinforce any PSHE programme. We can deliver:
- Assembly talks / displays
- FREE P.E. lessons
- After-school / breakfast club Martial Arts lessons
- Martial Arts activity days
If you would like us to visit your school for either an assembly talk, PE lesson or Martial Arts club please contact us and we will respond with further details.
Throughout the year we take part in events to help promote Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Oxfordshire and South Mids and to be part of the community environment where are schools are located.
Please contact us if you would like us to attend one of your events or if you know of an event taking place that you feel we could partake in. We are also happy to give mini demonstrations where kids and parents are more than welcome to join in.
